By the World Autism Awareness Day which is celebrated on April 2, national and regional media are actively preparing stories and publications relating to this issue. It is very pleasant that they help to disseminate information, thereby making the society more tolerant towards people with disabilities, and services more accessible. It is also pleasant to note that regional public organizations are also very active in organizing events on the occasion of disseminating information about autism, which makes it possible to solve the problem not only centrally, but also locally.

Channel UA: filmed an informational storyline, which addresses the issues of autism, the issue of statistics and socialization of people with autism spectrum disorders.

Inna Sergienko, Consul Autism Europe, spoke about the political will and decentralization in solving the problems of people with autism, as well as parental and social organizations, which every day becomes more and more within our country. The highlight of the plot – an interview with 12-year-old Mikhail Sergienko. He is the head of his class, now working on a project to improve the school library. Misha also talks about his plans for the future – to become a good lawyer. We are sincerely grateful for the interest in the topic and for the preparation of the plot by Lyubov Rybalko, a journalist of channel Channel UA: and the whole team.
