18, Dec in Lutsk has been held the 16-th seminar of the consul of “Autism Europe” Inna Sergiyenko “Problems and achievements in the sphere of autism in the world and Ukraine” within the frames of the regional tour around the country. A visit has taken place according to the invitation of Volyn regional organization “Yangolyata”.
It`s pleasant to stress that over 150 hearers have gathered who actively asked questions and conducted discussion with Mrs. Sergiyenko.
Thanks to the meeting with Consul, Volyn received much information about a problem of autism, as well as new decisions and techniques of working with children with special needs, based on the Ukrainian and International experience.
“Due to fast increase of quantity of children with ASD in Volynskaya region, in Lutsk in particular, we would like to attract attention of society and administration of Volyn to the theme of autism. We are planning to work actively over increasing of the level of awareness as regards modern trends in Ukraine and in the world on solving problems, as far as possible, children and adults with ASD in Volyn, – comments Yulia Polishchuk, the head of Volyn regional organization “Yangolyata”.
“It is very pleasant that a lot of specialists have gathered in Lutsk, who really work with children with autism, – said Consul. – It witnesses that they indeed have a strong need of new information, learning, studying new methods. They are interested in literature and all possible resources, where it is possible to gather something useful. A pleasure to work with such an audience”.
A very important, according to Mrs. Sergiyenko, was that psychiatrists and physicians attended the seminar.
“We always invite doctors, but they never come to our seminars, – said Consul. – In Lutsk I liked a lot a speech of the main regional psychiatrist – a specialist who knows the problem of autism, tells actual things and deals with this problem indeed”.
We note that Volyn Direction of the National Teleradiocompany of Ukraine has invited Consul and the director of the Foundation “Child With Future” to the program “Theme of the day” where they discussed a situation with autism in our country in general and in the region in particular.
