On December 25, 2023, on Christmas Day, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska met with talented child volunteers who have become known at home and abroad for their selfless assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fight against Russian invaders. The conversation was attended by 9 children, including our incredible Maksym Brovchenko from the temporarily occupied Berdiansk.
The 12-year-old artist Maksym Brovchenko told the audience about his debut book “Planet A”, which tells the story of autistic people and their life on a distant planet. The book is full of love and tolerance, and it has something to offer not only teenagers but also adult readers.
“Without people like you and other talented children, this planet would be very sad, so I would like you to stay with us,” Olena Zelenska asked Maksym.
The warm conversation took place in a friendly circle against the backdrop of a fluffy Christmas tree, around which the children made a single wish – for Ukraine’s soonest victory. Olena Zelenska asked the children about their volunteer activities, plans and dreams for the future. At the end of the meeting, the participants found gifts from the First Lady under the tree.
