April, 1, on the eve of the World Autism Awareness Day, at 12.00 in “The Ukrainian news” (“Ukrayinski novyny”) at the address: 20, Esplanadna street, 1 floor (Kyiv) will be held a press conference/briefing “How to get to kindergarten and school – roadmap for parents of children with autism”, where a Roadmap for parents will be presented.
Parents and the media will learn what educational opportunities and “impossibilies” do children with autism have in Ukraine, how to use them properly and how to demand a right for inclusive education if one has been refused.
The following participants will take part in briefing:
– Inna Sergyienko, Consul of the European organization «Autism Europe», founder of Children with autism support foundation «Child with Future», mother of a child with autism;
– Eugeniya Panichevska, head of Association of parents of children with autism
– Tetiana Symonenko, head of the department of education of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine
– Nataliya Bukina, mother, who is demanding inclusive education for her daughter.
