“ALERRT: Autism on the line!” project conference to train first responders to help autistic people will take place on 19 September 2022

The final conference of the international project “ALERRT: Autism on the line!” will take place on 19 September 2022. The event will focus on highlighting the key messages of the European Erasmus+ initiative, particularly the training of first responders to interact with and assist autistic people in emergencies. The conference will be attended by representatives of the Foundation for Children with Autism Syndrome “Child with Future” – Iryna Sergienko, Director of the Foundation, and Evgenia Panichevska, Communications Director of the Foundation. They are preparing for the publication of adapted conference materials to make the latest knowledge and practice available to experts and everyone involved in the problems of autism.

The “ALERRT: Autism on the line!” project aims to provide knowledge and skills to first responders across Europe to recognize, communicate and provide adequate emergency care for autistic people in emergencies.

The program of the online event includes coverage of the following topics:

  • presentation of the project “ALERRT: Autism on the line!”: addressing the challenges of assisting autistic people as first responders – research findings;
  • an overview of the modules, online platform, and training tools of “ALERRT: Autism on the line!
  • results of the feedback and presentation of the “Inclusive emergency project” peer support platform.

The event by Autism Europe and project partners will start at 14:00 European time, last 2 hours, and will be held online on ZOOM.
