Ministry of education of Ukraine created expert-consultative council on autism. Main target of the department will be providing cooperation between departments of executive authorities and social organizations on providing right for education for children with autistic spectrum disorders.
«For the first time social organizations, which help children with autism, have an opportunity to take part in work of the Ministry of Education and work on creating access to education for children with autism», – says Larysa Rybchenko, Director of the Foundation “Child with future”. – Order on creating such council – is the first result of work of experts within the framework of working group on creating system of help for people with autistic spectrum disorder with Administration of President.»
New Council will work on creating programs and methodical recommendations for teaching and training children with autism, education program for training teachers and methodical recommendations on making individual programs for teachers of public schools. All programs and recommendations are expected to be done within 2013-2014.

Our European colleagues, who have actively worked with autists for past 30 years, are ready to provide us with help so that we could use their experience in creating system of education for our children. And we are grateful to the Ministry of Education that they are ready to work with this experience and adapt it to our country», says Council of “Autism-Europe” Inna Sergiyenko.
Control over results of working group is put on the Director of the Department of school education of the Ministry of Education Oleg Viktorovich Eresko.
We remind that on April, 2 Foundation “Child with future” carried out a meeting near the Ministry of Education called “Autists can study!”.
